Tour of the FireFlies 2026

AMES COOMBER

My Story

This year, I’m proud to be riding as part of a 35-strong Fireflies Team, taking on an epic 1,040 km challenge from Venice to Menton, one of Europe’s toughest and most unforgettable charity rides.

The Fireflies are built on courage, community, and a shared belief that we can make a difference: “For those who suffer, we ride.”

Over eight intense days, we’ll push through long distances and tough terrain to raise vital funds for The Blood Fund, supporting life-changing research and care for people living with blood disorders, from clinical trials to specialist nurses and future breakthroughs at Hammersmith Hospital.

We recently brought that Fireflies spirit closer to home with a charity ride at Surrey Sports Park, eight back-to-back spin classes powered by an incredible community. Together, we raised £3,760. Thank you to everyone who rode, donated, and showed up. If you’re here following the event, you’re in exactly the right place.

That sense of community is what makes this so powerful. Last year showed me that this is more than a physical challenge, it’s a collective effort, fuelled by people coming together, supporting each other, and riding for something bigger than themselves. I’m returning with even more purpose and determination to do everything I can for this cause.

We’re aiming to raise £120,000 as a team.

If you can, please donate, share my page, or send encouragement along the way, every donation genuinely makes a difference.

For those who suffer, we ride. ❤️💛❤️💛❤️💛
