Celebrating 10 year survival and raising funds for cancer research - Ride London-Essex 100 2024
Claudia Gore
My Story
In May 2014 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. In 2018 it came back. Both times, I was lucky to receive cutting edge treatment from the team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. I owe my surgeon Professor Christina Fotopoulou and my oncologist Dr Jon Krell and their teams a lot.
I did not think, that I would be alive today - instead, I have had 10 years full of life, love and laughter - able to do pretty much what I want and able to work to give something back.
Here is my story in two 3-minute clips:
2024 - Gift
2016 - Stickers
This is why I will be cycling 100 miles (no, I have never cycled that far or fast in a day) together with Robin, my husband, to raise funds for ovarian cancer research.
Please support the Ovarian Care Fund!
Thank you,
Claudia
PS: Since writing the above I had another clear tumour marker - it's exactly 10 years now. Hurrah!!
